Workshop Motivation
The rapid emergence of Agentic Artificial Intelligence, Foundation Models, Telecom Intelligence, and Autonomous Systems is transforming the design and operation of next-generation ubiquitous networks, edge-cloud infrastructures, and distributed digital ecosystems. Future AI-native environments—including 6G networks, smart cities, Industry 5.0 platforms, and large-scale IoT systems—will increasingly rely on autonomous agents capable of reasoning, planning, learning, and acting with limited human intervention.
Traditional automation and AI approaches often depend on static workflows, predefined rules, and centralized decision-making. While effective in controlled environments, these methods struggle to adapt to dynamic conditions, heterogeneous infrastructures, evolving security threats, and increasing regulatory requirements. Critical tasks such as service orchestration, resource optimization, network management, and AI governance require greater adaptability, explainability, and contextual awareness.
To address these challenges, Agentic AI introduces a new paradigm based on autonomous reasoning, adaptive decision-making, and collaborative intelligence. Leveraging Large Language Models (LLMs), Foundation Models, and Multi-Agent Systems, intelligent agents can dynamically coordinate services, optimize resource allocation, automate operations, and provide explainable decisions. Combined with cloud-native, edge, and service-oriented architectures, Agentic AI enables scalable and resilient intelligent ecosystems.
However, significant challenges remain, including: (1) ensuring trustworthiness, explainability, and accountability of autonomous agents; (2) maintaining security, privacy, and resilience against adversarial threats; (3) supporting scalable multi-agent collaboration across distributed infrastructures; and (4) enabling sovereign and compliant AI systems aligned with emerging regulatory frameworks.
TRUST-AGENT 2026 aims to bring together researchers, practitioners, industry experts, and policymakers to explore novel solutions at the intersection of Agentic AI, Telecom Intelligence, Generative AI, Federated Intelligence, Sovereign AI, and Trustworthy Autonomous Systems for the next generation of ubiquitous computing environments.
